Why Nordic

Power, climate, and jurisdiction.

The Nordics are an unusually good fit for compute. Grid power is plentiful, with hydro and wind making up the majority of the mix. Cool ambient temperatures cut cooling load. Tier-1 carriers upstream keep transit direct to most of Europe.

The other reason is jurisdiction. EU data-protection law applies, with the usual obligations on data minimization, breach notification, and rights of access and erasure. Account data stays in the EU; we do not transfer customer data to non-EU subprocessors.

Network

  • Northern Europe: low intra-regional latency
  • Major EU cities: direct routing via tier-1 transit
  • Connectivity: full outbound, configurable firewall
  • Public IP: dedicated IPv6 per instance

Real hardware isolation, on every instance.

KVM hardware isolation, dedicated kernels, per-VM network namespaces. Included on every instance, no add-ons required.

Nordic data center

Frequently Asked

Nordic data center, in a tier-3 facility operated by an established European provider. We do not publish the city as a marketing fact because it locks the page in if we expand to other Nordic facilities. EU jurisdiction applies regardless of the specific city.
